I have the same truck - don't be deceived by the 3.2L V6. The Ecoboost is a powerful motor. Unfortunately our trucks don't have much payload :-(

I know jayco web site calls this 5er a half ton hero. On paper there could be enough payload to tow this trailer. My feeling is once the TV and TT are loaded, it could be a miserable towing experience and possibly dangerous. Not due to the engine, but the light payload of our half ton trucks.

Trading off a new truck sounds like a loosing en devour. Towing the 5er with this truck also seems risky.

I'd either keep the truck and look at a travel trailer. Or trade the truck for a 3/4 ton + and pursue the 5er. Good luck!

If you plan on putting 4 or 5 adults in a F150 Crewcad with EcoBoost and pull a 5th wheel, you might overload the TV.
We pull with just my wife and I and have hardly anything in the truck with us. We place everything in the TT and I try and distribute the weight in the trailer. It helps that I have a carrier attached to the bumper hitch on the rear of the trailer where I carry the spare and generator. I moved the spare tire to the rear to help not overload the hitch weight.
