Window mod

Our 2011 Eagle has single pane windows that has some tint to them. My question is , has anyone added " solar film " to these style windows ? We have the day shades & blinds but it needs more here in the Texas sun.

For summer trips we use Reflectix. Buy it at Home Depot/Lowes, cut out a piece to fit your window and place it in the window (or skylight) during the day on the sunny side of the camper. It reflects the solar heat gain out of the camper.

If you really want to reduce heat and aren't as concerned about optics... place a larger piece on the outside of the window as well.

Reflectix for us. The plastic case to Frog Tape makes tracing and cutting the radius corners easy. All but 2 windows blacked out on our rig. Also both skylights pretty much deleted (Coated, batten, reflectix etc). Can maintain 70 inside with 100 deg temps outside. In the summer, natural light as some like, is OUTSIDE. I like my COOL inside.

I put some dark tint film on all my windows several years ago. I bought the film from one of the big box stores but don't remember the product name. It was not the easiest install but well worth it. The only problem I had was the film shrank between the time I cut it out and applied it to the windows so I have a slight "un-tinted" line around the perimeter of the window.
