Winterizing 377, how many gallon of antifreeze?

After our post-purchase shakedown cruise this weekend, I'll have to put the rig back into hibernation. How many gallons to properly winterize this unit?

It should take 2-3 gallons to flush the water lines, sink traps, toilet. Always better to have more than enough on hand to complete the job

Agreed. I would have at least 5 gallons on hand for the first time. I can do our 36" TT with 2 but I like to dump a lot in the p-traps and the black tank to keep the valves lubricated.

Don't forget the outside shower if you have one.

2-3 gallons is what I usually use and have 1/2 gallon left over. As stated run all faucets after bypassing and draining the water and closing the lp drains, until you see pink at every faucet hot and cold with the pump pulling water from a jug. Don't forget the toilet and outside shower.

I put the jug in a bucket to keep the hose from knocking it over.

Thanks, all. I have experience actually doing RV winterizing, just on a much smaller rig. I fill my boat's winterizing jug and put it on a ladder, turn on fresh water pump, open all the faucets/showers, flush the toilet, then pour extra down the drains and toilet.

The water and ice dispenser in the fridge will be a new one on me, though. Any online tutorials?

Make sure the water heater is bypassed unless it is done automatically.

Disconnect compressed air, turn off water line to fridge. Switch the levers to winterizing mode and run antifreeze through rig.

Where's the valve for the fridge? Behind the drawer below the oven? Another one tucked up along the plumbing under the sink (is that the feed origin for the fridge)?

Good point. I have conventional hot water heater, so pulling the anode rod will drain the tank. Switching to winterizing mode on the docking center should bypass the heater, I think?

Your doing great! Give yourself some credit...you've got it all figured out. You could turn off the fridge water line at either valve I guess. I turn off the one behind the oven drawer and let some of the antifreeze flow out the low point drain (but that's just me).

I did forget to mention that I do not use or winterize the ice maker in the refer. If you have the residential refer then don't forget that you have 2 valves to turn. 1 is under the sink and the other is under the stove. The water filter is so good that if you run it through the fridge it will come out clear for the filter removes the color of the antifreeze.

No sir! My PDI is this Thursday.

If all goes well, I'll come back to pick it up Saturday for a 2 day camping shakedown near the dealer. Weather is supposed to be warm, above freezing, for the weekend, with rain Sunday (good for a leak shakedown!).

But weather Thursday night is supposed to get to the 20s, so I need to winterize then and again after the shakedown.

There will be pics!

My guess is to winterize the line without sending winterizer to the fridge/ice maker water filter.

For what it’s worth, looks like they’re down to just one valve in 2018. I searched for the one that was supposed to be under oven, behind the drawers, etc. and nothing. Only found the one under the sink, after popping the staples and pulling the trim out. Weird.
