Don't be afraid

For the first ever, I did not use RV antifreeze to winterize my Designer 5th wheel. I blew the lines out at 35 psi and what an easy process. Connected the air compressor and went thru opening and closing every faucet and spray nozzle several times. Had to stop and allow the air pressure to build up a few times. The hot water heater was the longest. I had to insert the drain plug and back it out to allow the water to spray out several times. It will be the longest drain to get all the water out, but it will. Store the drain plug some where safe and leave it out untill spring.
Glad I tried this and YES no antifreeze.

Keep in mind (which you may already have in mind), adding a little antifreeze in each drain is not a bad idea to do. ~CA

Thanks, I will try it again. Also I ordered a drain plug with the twist valve, not sure the plastic one will last many seasons and it makes things a lot easier.

And also I saw the followup regarding antifreeze in the traps, yes I plan to put some in them and the toilet and a bit in the tanks - basically spread out a gallon between them. If

I made a drain with a short hose and a ball valve at the end for my TT. Fits in the compartment pretty good. My only reason for the hose extension was to keep the hot water off the side of my trailer. But what you have sounds like it'll work just fine.
