Winterizing soon.
Like the topic but what I really want to know what is the best way to completely empty your black water tank, can you get all of the black water out or do you do the best you can? Thanks guys for your comments we are at a campsite that have full hookup so I would like to see if I can dump it completely before I leave.

Use the black tank flush procedure and after the water runs pretty clear, close the tank valve and fill the tank part way. Keep an eye on tank level monitor so you don’t overfill!! Then open the valve and empty the tank and stop flushing. That’s about as clean as you can get it.
Of course sanitize your tank afterward. Good luck!

If you just want it "clean" , I like the method of quick dumping a 5 gallon bucket or two down toilet. With the sewer valve open.
I never worry about having the tanks too clean or dry.

Clean your tanks as normal. drain, and then I pour a half gallon in the black water tank and a 1/2 gallon in the grey water tank. Been doing it that way for 40+ years no issues. Also, when winterizing. I drain the hot water heater and put it in by-pass mode. then I open and drain all low point drains, I then blow compressed air 30-40 psi max. through the city water hookup until the majority of the water is blown out of the hot and cold water lines. Then I siphon about a gallon or two with the pump and run it until the pink comes out of all faucets starting with the shower, toilet, vanity, kitchen and outdoor shower. Boom! done for another winter. PS leave the excess antifreeze in the P-traps as you run the faucets.

I'm thinking your pump doesn't have a pickup hose and valve arrangement to drop into an antifreeze jug. I can think of two ways to do it. One is remove the suction side hose from the pump, and make your own separate hose and fitting to draw antifreeze through it. The second is to drain the fresh water tank, run the pump dry to get as much water out of it as you can, then take the bottom of the screen filter off, and empty that out. The first way would insure there was no water in the pump, but the second version should remove enough water out of the pump so no damage will occur. I personally prefer the first way.

Yep, what JFlightRisk said the Jayco dealership gave me a separate hose so I can pull the Anti-Freeze into my lines.
