Winterizing the icemaker in Pinnacle

Can someone please explain how to winterize the icemaker which is inside the freezer of my 2018 Pinnacle? Thanks!

The info I've gotten the past few days is shut the water line to the fridge off under the kitchen sink or wherever your fridge water line shutoff is. Drain the water dispenser after you remove the filter if your fridge has a filter. then let your icemaker cycle for 24 hours. That's what I was told.

I have a Whirlpool side by side residential refrigerator. Hers is how I do it

Step 1:
Is to set my valves to winterize and connect my air compressor on 40 psi and open every hot and cold location my sinks, toilet. outside sprayers, washer and refrigerator water dispenser (EVERYPLACE WATER COMES OUT) until no more water comes out. I leave it on for about 15 minutes

Step 2:
I use the pink RV anti-freeze and set my valves to winterize to pull from a 5 gallon bucket of RV anti-freeze. I run water at every location until I see the pink fluid coming out, I do this for the water dispenser in the refrigerator until I see the pink anti-freeze. Then I connect a air hose at 40 psi to the same connection and leave the ice maker on until it passes some of the pink anti-freeze out of the ice maker. You should put a large glass under the ice maker to catch any anti-freeze that leaks out. I usually takes 3 or 4 cycles of the ice maker before I am satisfied.

Step 3
Repeat Step 1

Step 4
Put some anti-freeze in all drain traps

Go to U tube and you can find numerous videos.
Whirlpool manual states not to put antifreeze into the frig!
Your key is to blow it out with air.

You can get a bypass tube from Amazon to replace the refrigerator water filter.

I called Whirlpool and inquired about a bypass plug for our Whirlpool side by side. She said with our model, there is no bypass. She said we can remove the filter and it will work as if the filter is in. Haven't tried it yet, not sure how accurate this answer is.

She is correct......water will not leak if turned on with filter removed. There is a lock out to prevent disaster.

Just a FYI - cannot run RV antifreeze through the Frigidaire per the instructions. We drained, blew out the water lines and then kept drying out the ice maker. After that, DW said no more.
