I have a Whirlpool side by side residential refrigerator. Hers is how I do it
Step 1:
Is to set my valves to winterize and connect my air compressor on 40 psi and open every hot and cold location my sinks, toilet. outside sprayers, washer and refrigerator water dispenser (EVERYPLACE WATER COMES OUT) until no more water comes out. I leave it on for about 15 minutes
Step 2:
I use the pink RV anti-freeze and set my valves to winterize to pull from a 5 gallon bucket of RV anti-freeze. I run water at every location until I see the pink fluid coming out, I do this for the water dispenser in the refrigerator until I see the pink anti-freeze. Then I connect a air hose at 40 psi to the same connection and leave the ice maker on until it passes some of the pink anti-freeze out of the ice maker. You should put a large glass under the ice maker to catch any anti-freeze that leaks out. I usually takes 3 or 4 cycles of the ice maker before I am satisfied.
Step 3
Repeat Step 1
Step 4
Put some anti-freeze in all drain traps
