Would love to upgrade to the new Eagle 34.5bhts

We just got our Eagle 314BDS in Feb of 2013 and we love it and traveled over 2500 miles with it last year, but just saw basically the same floor plan brought into a 5th wheel (34.5bhts) which would someday be my end destination as far as upgrading (so I think). But was wondering if I would take too much of a hit now or just wait a year or two to upgrade. Little more room in the main bedroom and bath would be great. Looking for anyone's experience that upgraded in a years time. Thanks

You do take a pretty good hit after just one year. We have done it once to get rid of what we considered a lemon. At the time we felt it was worth taking the hit just to get rid of the frustrations and horrible experiences each time we used it and something else went wrong. We also had little dealer support, so decided to get rid of it. Lose money on the deal? Yep. Much happier afterwards? Absolutely. My advice is if you are not unhappy with your current unit and it serves your purpose, stick with it a couple of years. If you hate it and it causes problems in the family, get rid of it if you can afford it.

Oh you've got it bad . There will be something new every year that will catch your eye. Stay the course and keep a list of what you see n like. In 5 years, go shopping - 2 years if you've got more money than time

like i said in the other post you made, i am in the same situation, i bought my 26bh in august and i am already planning on trading it in, i wish i would have just bought the 5th wheel in the 1st place and saved my self the money and trouble, oh well live and learn

but the plus side with trailers is that once you get that initial depreciation it generally stays there, so whether you trade it in now or in a year or 2 your going to get around the same for it
