Just a suggestion, but I'd like to put it out there for everyone to consider.

I agree.
So many small business owners are getting crushed by these action. If you can spare some change, I too would encourage you to give them a call.

Who knows, if I was a campground owner and had a choice of "half price" or no money, I'd offer some attractive rates,

We just left two KOAs in New Mexico.
Pricey, sure. It's KOA.
But they had spots.

Just got a notification, Virginia State Parks closed for overnight camping from March 27 until at least April 30. Automatically cancelled our reservation and should be refunding payment.

Parks will remain open for day use, but restroom facilities will be closed as of Friday. We are working to add portajohns.

I hope that private camp grounds can get help from the feds. Other business will get help from forced closers.

WI is waving entrance and trail use fees during the stay at home order. However CGs are closed now until April 30th. No reservations for dates before June 1st.

We live 7 minutes from a WI State Park. I take our dog out there for a walk several times a week year round. We were out there yesterday and I have never seen so many people there during the winter closure times. I know the beautiful weather had alot to do with it. Whole families walking, bike riding, even kids playing on the playground equipment which I was surprised to see. Hopefully the parents wiped their kids hands down real good when they left.

So, where's left to go camp? With most federal and state parks closed, many until the end of April, and even the private campgrounds in my state closed, where can we go camp, without being shot by the national guard or handcuffed and taken away by local LEOs?

Is there any place still allowing campers? I'm in NJ.

I'm using my Jayco as our temporary home office as my wife and I suddenly find ourselves working from home. It is quite comfortable and private and working out great so far.

Both Texas and Arkansas state parks are open for now with some restrictions. I think we’ll go social distance in Arkansas for a couple nights. Full hookups and only stopping for gas. My county is under a “Stay at home y’all order”. Still trying to find clarification on wether or not I’ll get harassed pulling my trailer out of town.

We are just now getting consistently above freezing during the night. I still have mine winterized, but will probably fill it with water this weekend to make it a little more usable.

The only additional thing that I have done is purchase a WiFi booster/range extender to get a better signal out to the driveway.

Since you're already at your home base, you may want to consider staying until the COVID-19 storm lets up..., will make for a more enjoyable trip. Much easier and safer to control social distancing on one's home turf.

I departed Ingram, Texas, last Monday and arrived at my Michigan home base three days later......, definitely not as enjoyable as past years return home trips.

We are. I decided to just wait it out. I think the cabin fever was just getting to me.

They laughed, when I installed a mesh extender by the back door.
They laughed again when I installed an Echo Dot in the TT

Now I get better bandwidth out there, than I did at the office, the coffee's better,, I can listen to loud music while I work.... and I'm not spending money on commuting.

I haven't calculated the cost savings of not commuting. My wife and I combined do approx 3000 miles per month. She's about 1250, I'm around 1800. Add to that the daily stop for coffee that I do in the mornings and my wife's trip for a doughnut or muffin, I bet we are going to see significant savings during this time.

She did have to buy an additional cheap Chromebook for her work, but I think that will quickly be absorbed by the savings of being at home.

Utah State Parks - Local Residents Only

The State of Utah has declared a 'Stay Safe - Stay Home' order today. Utah State Parks are following that order, restricting Parks access to nearby residents only.

Park Open: Park remains open to residents within the county where the park is located.

Alabama State parks are still open as of today. We have reservations at the end of this week for a few days unless something changes. The State Park is only about a mile and a half from the house but it would be a good change of scenery.
