Well crap we're waiting on a final decision but looks like elective surgeries are being postponed due to the virus. I was hoping my wife would get her knee replacement in May so she would have time for rehab and maybe able to walk and enjoy camping this summer.

Sorry to hear about your DW. Yes, almost all elective surgeries are being postponed to leave Beds for possible COVID patients

From the Florida State Parks website:

"Out of an abundance of caution, group activities and events are canceled until further notice. Florida State Parks remain open for day use and camping, however hours of operation have been reduced to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. "

I mentioned to the Florida Park Ranger that the State Park Website contained the incorrect Info. I was informed that a Volunteer handles the website & it may take some time to update.

I received an email from Misty Mountain Camp Resort, in Greenwood, VA (near Charlottesville). They will be open for camping, if anyone is looking for a campground near there. We've been there a couple of times, and it's nice.

Well, we had a trip planned for a quick get away and long weekend in Julian CA. Which was a winter full hook up go enjoy the town kind of trip. But now they have closed the winery, brewery and everything else in the town. NorCal is starting to lock down, sure we are not far off in SoCal. Next camping trip at this point may be a bit off. The DW is not that thrilled with the whole thing. But it is what it is. I think I can find a boondock location

Very sorry to hear that. It is truly a sad way to end the day.

Truly good news, and something to look forward to! I had a go kart when I was much younger, and healed quicker! I never raced it, but it was a blast.

We had to cancel our trip to Salt Springs FL. Son-In-Law & Grandson was exposed to COVID-19 and my wife has a compromised immune system.
So regardless of how I feel about the virus it is only prudent to just stay put. Hopefully it will pass and we will be stronger and smarter on the other end.

We have the first full week of April reserved at Topsail Hill state park near Destin FL. I just checked the web site and they're still open, but with limited services. We'll have to walk or ride bikes to the beach because the tram system is shut down.

We decided not to go cross country as we did not want to be two thousand miles from home with campgrounds National Parks and restaurants closed. I did not even consider rest areas! Good to know as we would have been crossing the entire of PA We booked on the ferry to Newfoundland in July instead for a month there.

We are currently at Huntington Beach SP near Myrtle Beach. CG is pretty full. When we checked in, no one knows if any closures are pending. Everything is fluid for the moment.

It's good that you can look at the bright side. The Kart racing, or racing in general is a great activity.
