Texas state parks are still open mostly, though all common areas are closed. No stores or ranger stations open to the public. We booked Garner State Park 9 months ago and are headed out this week. Hopefully wont get pulled over asking for our papers!

My concern wasn't the park but just getting our of Tarrant county if they decided to call for a shelter in place policy like Dallas county, next door.

We are temporarily full timers till the townhouse we are buying is completed in July near Huntsville. Our ace in the hole is our daughter and son in laws 5 acres with a RV pad next to the shop/storage building. Corinth Recreational Park Campground, near Double Springs,Al is open so we are hanging out there for a while.

Michigan State Parks are open, but no facilities. Not clear about dump stations, water and electric will be available, so a bit confusing.

Michigan State Park Campgrounds are closed.....,

"Michigan state parks are open, for now, but campgrounds are closed as the state launches into a stay-at-home order from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

State park campgrounds, lodging facilities and shelters will remain closed through April 13, according to a press release from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Campers who reserved a spot already will get a refund.

However, Michigan’s state parks, recreation areas, state boat launches, state forests and other resources will remain open in line with Whitmer’s order, according to the release."

I finally called and canceled our upcoming reservations begining in mid-April through mid-May; private campgrounds in Nashville, Birmingham, Mobile and St. Augustine. All were still open and were reserving decisions to remain open, pending state government "shelter in place" announcements and details. Given the current government rules (in many states) regarding general retailing, restaruants and grocery shortages, we have decided not travel this spring. Hopefully by September, we can reschedule.
We lease seasonal space, so it looks like we will spending a lot of time relaxing and watching the Ohio river flow by.

Indiana shuts down tonight at midnight. Parks will still be open but all playgrounds, restrooms, lodges will close. Park offices will still be manned but you can't go in. Still not sure if the campgrounds are open or not.

Just found this out. Indiana State Park campgrounds will remain open and travel to the parks will still be permitted although all facilities will be closed. I take this virus very seriously but finally here's something that makes sense. Camping is an isolationist thing and can't really understand why states are closing their campgrounds. Close any/everything that could let people interact with one another but an individual campsite completely meets the social distancing requirements by far. Kudos to Gov. Holcomb for some common sense in trying times.

Since Michigan State Park Campgrounds are closed, I personally wouldn't expect the campground dump station to be open because water hasn't been turned on yet...., and bathrooms remain closed as well.

Although Missouri SP Campgrounds are closed it appears you can still fish & without a License. Maine & Arkansas are doing the same.

Some Sanity in all this chaos.

Many are open, but bath house or common areas are closed. No tent camping either, cabins are closed, only fully self contained RV's are allowed..Some that were set to open mid April are delaying their opening date to a be determined date.

All New Jersey campgrounds will stay closed.

The New Jersey Campground Owners and Outdoor Lodging Association, an organization representing more than 90 private campgrounds across the state, sent a statement to all of its members Monday, recommending that they remain closed for “all vacationing and recreational activities” in an attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Support your local CG...

The people who are really hurting, at the moment, are private campground owners.
They're either closed By Order, or seeing nothing but cancellations, so their revenue went away.

We have reservations in NC in October, by which time things may have settled down. We paid our deposit ( on the day we left last year... lol ), but we plan to go ahead and pay the balance now.
Obviously, our week's money isn't going to make that much difference, but, if everyone did it, it might help a few of the family-run CGs to stay afloat.

Just a suggestion, but I'd like to put it out there for everyone to consider.

Virginia State Parks day use only

On today's news they said the Virginia State Parks will be open for day use only from March 27 through April 30. They define day use as hiking, walking, exercise in groups of less than 10. All cabins, yurts, campgrounds etc... will be closed. They also said if someone uses the parks for day use to bring cash or check for the self pay parking boxes and park attendants will be available by phone. They also say to bring your own toilet paper and soap because they will not restock the bathrooms.
