Things you’ve done to pass the time during CV19?

Trying to lighten the mood from all the frenzy [emoji3]

What are some odd or unusual things you’ve done while on quarantine?

I found myself shining and polishing all my shoes and boots. Not sure why but I figured why not!
DW cleaned all the ceiling fans and light fixtures.

Next up for me is probably going to be detail cleaning the interior of our cars and the trailer.

My dog is so happy that me and my wife are home all the time. He gets to run and play outside alot more now.

I think our cat wants to commit suicide though.

My wife and I have both been off of work now since last Monday due to the shutdown of the schools. My kids are off also.

We have attempted to spend some time outside. However, March weather in PA hasn't exactly cooperated as of yet. With the little bit of sunshine we have had, I've been out playing ball with my daughters. My oldest has played softball for many years and has been trying to keep her pitching skills up. So, we've been out every couple of days for her to throw for an hour or so. I don't have the heart to tell her that I don't think this spring season is going to happen.

As the weather gets a little better, I am going to get things ready for our vegetable garden, clean up some trees that fell over the winter, etc.

Gotta admit, because we're retired and not real social, we're able to aggressively quarantine and not really notice it that much.

It helps if I don't go online and look at my portfolio balance, so that one thing I DON'T do.

Kids and grandkids out of state, so we don't notice it on a daily basis.

So, I play my guitar, talk to the cats, watch movies, and will prep and sail my boat when spring gets here.

Aside from being in the targeted group for this zombie apocalypse, we figure we're fortunate in being able to make minimal changes in our lifestyle.

Same here, had pool deck recoated and started power washing the patio furniture and back of the house. DW gets upset when I sit on the drive way in my camp chair everyday drinking beer, so she wants me in the back yard. [emoji2957]

My campers are scrubbed cleaner than when they were new lol.
Organized and purged any clutter we’ve let accumulate, we are as minimalist as possible being ex-full timers.
Vehicles are all detailed and even pulled out the bicycles and cleaned and serviced them.
Got on Excel and made a spread sheet of our food and supplies for easy inventory.
Reading a lot of Kindle books
Teaching my 7 yr old daughter to play dominoes
Pretty much anything to keep my mind busy and avoiding hysteria news as much as possible!

Cleaned out and organized the garage yesterday. I went to Home Depot this morning and purchased 25 bags of mulch...that will be today’s project. One day at a time everyone!

Like Siamese said, being retired, not that much has changed. I always have so many projects going on, I am always busy and the DW keeps busy with here photography. Current project is a Cargo trailer I picked up that needed some love. Had several roof leaks which caused rear door to rust out and freeze up all the hinges...got it cheap. Just about finished up with the rear rebuild, spend a whole day last week planning on what I would need and going around getting supplies to make sure I had what I needed to keep projects going.

Nice work! I just finished a 16’ V-Nose that I turned into a mobile workshop. Fun project.

With warm, sunny weather, it’s a good time to work on the “other RV” — our sailboat moored at a nearby lake. Thankfully, the NPS hasn’t closed the area. In fact, what better place to socially distance than on a boat? Yesterday I finished replacing an old solar vent fan with a brand new one. Cutting holes in a rocking deck is more challenging than in a TT! Today, hopefully, we “social distance” on the water. Tomorrow is oil change day for the truck. Plenty of fun while in lockdown!

Driving a lot to find grocery items. Staples like beans and flour are in short supply. I can visit farms for milk butter meat and maple syrup but they are not too close together.
Bingewatching cooking shows does not help.

Woodworking and knitting. The usual

Back to removing snow soon. We can fish for free but it got cold again and the thaw has turned to freeze.

For dinner tonight, we are going to take the motorhome over to Bonefish Grill, order for pickup and eat in our “home” in their empty parking lot....then go home.

Yesterday I pulled all my batteries out of the Eagle. Adjusted water levels, cleaned the boxes and hoses and reinstalled everything using no-oxid on the terminals. Also figured out a way to disable the TPMS repeater until I can find a small switch.
