2006 Jayco Seneca 35GS brake light problems

I bought my 2006 Jayco Seneca 35GS recently and everything seemed to work fine. I hooked up my trailer to it and it popped a fuse for the brake lights on the motorhome. Replaced the fuse and the brake lights still aren't working on the motorhome. All fuses are good. Anyone had this problem and know what the fix is? It has a trailer brake switch that someone added, but not sure if that could be the problem.

If the brake controller was not wired in accordance to GM Bulletin 66 it could cause the brake light switch to fail.

Is there somewhere I can find that information so I can try to fix the problem myself or do I need to take it to a dealership?
