What is the true towing capacity and tongue weight? We have a friend looking at 2006 Jayco Seneca, 34SS (35.6 foot ) 6.6 liter Duramax Diesel. The are looking at towing a 3 horse trailer.
We own a 2015 and I have no comparison to help them out.
The Jayco website show it as being a 8000lb hitch capacity, I would say the tongue weight would be 750 lbs. The only real way would be to check the sticker on the hitch itself if it is still there.
We rolled our 2006 34ss across the Cat Scale this summer with our trailer. The trailer axle was 5860lbs. Our combined weight was 26,160 which is 160lbs over the 26k weight rating. That was with a fully loaded coach (bins and interior storage heavily loaded). No issues towing it. We've run a higher trailer load before as well without issues but I didn't pull it across the scales that time.
