2007 era Seneca with Duramax

Asking for a friend,
Some of you guys that have owned one or still do and I donít know for sure what years they were made but he wants one with the Duramax on the Kodiak or whatever that chassis is could you please tell me some of your experiences with them besides the normal slide issues etc. or something unless absolute junk
And what roof came on them whether it is rubber or metal?
I am mainly talking about towing the max, towing capacity, drivability, etc.
Thank you in advance
Tom

We had a 2006 34SS. That thing was a tank. We toad a full size pickup, never an issue. We drove it for about 50K miles, even up to Alaska. Easy maintenance, being a Chevy, parts were always available That old Allison transmission never hiccupped, it even had a spin on filter for easy maintenance. When we first traded it in on our 2018.5 I was very unhappy because of the issues with a new rig. It took a couple of years but all is good now. BTW, our old 34SS is listed for sale out on the facebook page and RVTrader.
Long story short, you really can't go wrong with the old Kodiak Seneca.

We have an 08 36ms and we love it. The build quality is fantastic. The Duramax and Allison are superb! Go find several to look at. We looked at three and bought ours from Adventure RV Sales in Greer, S.C. It was a trade-in on a huge class A. The handling and ride are like an oversized SUV. I don't even know our toad is back there. I did install Koni shocks, a front sway bar, Sumo springs and a Safety-Steer. If you find one, feel free to pm me. Ours looks great inside and out. Also, it's a Chevy and the front end hood assembly give you excellent access to the engine compartment. Oh, it has a fiberglass roof and it is a Kodiak C5500 chassis.

I had an 08 35 GS and I wish I kept it and just upgraded the interior a little. Pulled great, handled great. As repeach said it was a brute. I pulled a Silverado and had our GC in the bed never any hesitation climbing Jelico on I-75 in TN, same on I-40 in NC. Roofs are fiberglass.

Only thing that you need to watch for is a seeping radiator, lower driver's side. GM had some issues with a bad crimp on some. The tanks are plastic and the radiator aluminum.

One other factor to consider, replacement body parts are definitely not available. A friend wrecked hers and the Ins totaled it for that reason.

That's a great rig too, except they were limited production and hard to find.
