2007 Jayco Seneca electrical problem.

We are having an electrical issue with our 2007 Jayco Senaca HD. The jacks will not work, two slide outs will not work, and the steps dont work. We know its a safety feature and all these are connected to a battery relay switch. What we dont know is the wires that control the relay and where they come from. We have tone one (white wire) coming from the steps area but the other two (red and orange)we don't know.

Does any one have a schematic for the safety feature?

Thanks,
Bayougirl

I don't remember the slides being connected to any kind of "safety" as I moved mine, albeit minimally, with the slides out. They should all be fused individually at the panel.

As to the steps they should only have a safety (yellow wire) connected to the ignition that causes them to retract when the ignition is on.

Best guess:

Wiring may be behind the driver's side kick panel. That is where the auto retract relay for the jacks should be, but it is also connected to the ignition along with the parking brake. Steps get power from chassis battery, everything else is powered by the house batteries.

Hope that helps some. .

Sorry about steps and jacks issue. Just addressed this in our 2006 35ft. Had a melt down of the left solenoid in coach battery bay. When turning on coach power with momentary switch by coach stairwell. You should hear main solenoid , right one, click. This activates DC current from coach batteries to the interior lights, generator, inverter, and slides, on our seneca. When turning on steps switch, upper door entrance, you should hear the left solenoid in coach battery bay click. Check both solenoids for power beyond when activated. If no go. detach each main inlet and outlet cable and trace. Our problem was when tech installed new batteries for coach and chassis he forgot to attach positive cable from chassis battery to positive stub post in battery bay. It shorted out the left solenoid. While at it, I strongly suggest putting in a battery disconnect switch.

Grumpy is correct, in that under the cowling by drivers left foot is where Jayco brought in wiring from coach to truck. Its a cluster affair, that I had to cleanup. There are two inline fuses there for leveling jacks. Under the stairs is another inline fuse for steps

Not sure about 2007. but on our 2006, the steps switch, dc current came from the chassis to activate secondary solenoid, which sends current from coach batteries to the steps, leveling jacks, and connects backup dead battery emergency connect , on dashboard. The emergency brake, 14 gauge blue, runs all the way to hydraulic pump to activate leveling jacks. The yellow, from stair switch, runs to the secondary solenoid.
