2008 Seneca 35HD generator runs, no

No AC power with generator

Was running fine last night.
Turned the ACs to a higher temp
Ran generator all day.

Came back to rig, no power.

Checked AC switch at generator
Checked and toggled all breakers in master.

Turned Gen on and off multiple times.

Tried with and without ACs on, did not matter.

Tried with and without engine running.

No codes.

Running out of ideas...

Haven't pulled the cover on the current generator but on my prior coach the generator had a breaker right next to the start switch on the generator itself. If that breaker was tripped the generator would run but would not output any power. You might check to see if your generator has a similar breaker.

Note to self, check the configuration of the current coach's generator for breaker and start switch.

Mind has one
I’ve cycled it multiple times with no change in behavior

Could be a bad transfer switch. There was a recall on those in the 08's years ago. Are you the original owner?

Do you have a voltage meter at the master switch so you can tell power goes up when gen on? I have one right before the master switch to monitor the batteries and when I'm plugged into shore or the gen is on it goes from 12.x to 13-14.x V. Perhaps something to check battery V to see if they are draining?

That tell you if the gen is passing power to the coach infrastructure and isolate if the coach is the issue or the gen.

It's under the large wardrobe drawers. You need to pull them out to access it. You can easily take the cover off to see if you have voltage coming in. If not it's the geny, if yes it's the switch.

That's what it was recalled for. All you can do is buy a new one. IOTA is no longer making that switch. Progressive Dynamics has one on AMAZON and you need one with the "Sense Option" for the gen auto start.

Doubtful since you're the 2nd owner and the recall was in 2012/13.

Since recalls typically have to do with safety issues, I don't think they expire or lose their urgency, do they?

Recalls do not expire, but they are generally only enforced for a resonable period of time.
You should check the NHTSA website for exact details concerning what they determine resonable.

It was a JAYCO voluntary recall at the time, not a NHTSA recall if I remember correctly. Other RV manufacturers didn't recall them until several years later.

It was still voluntary like MONACO and KEYSTONE. That's what the "V" stands for.

Accordingly, Monaco and Keystone manufactured have initiated a voluntary recall as listed on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration web site. This is under campaign numbers 12V060000 and 11V577000.

Roger. I was just posting it for information.

I'm betting Jayco will replace it. Loss of life and high-dollar property loss is possible.

I’m replacing the iota with the PD52DCSD

What was the two wires in the IOTA that connected to a pcboard via crimped terminal
Connector?

I can’t seem to find any info
Nor any similar connection on the Progressive Dynamics box

Those are probably the auto start control wires. If I remember correctly there is an add on module that needs to purchased for the Progressive. This is from their web-site.

AC Detect option available for auto generator start compatibility.
