2014 Jayco Seneca 36FK- Question

I I just purchased a 2014 Seneca 36FK and when I purchased it it was winterized. Everything seems to be fine however when I turn on the hot water taps there is zero flow. When I turn on the Coldwater it flows fine. Am I missing a valve somewhere to turn on the hot water flow? I checked the pressure relief valve on the tankless water heater and there is water in the small tank. Not sure what to do any help is appreciated

well, I'm not 100% sure because I don't have that model and "zero flow" isn't what I'd expect, but I'll still suggest you look to see if the Water Heater Bypass valve is still in 'bypass' mode.

Suggesting this since you mentioned you bought it winterized.

This valve is (almost) always found at the back of the water heater. There will be a way to see the back of the heater - removable panel, behind a cabinet, something.

There isn't a bypass valve on a tankless water heater. There is no tank to bypass!

I can't help solve your problem as I haven't had that issue. I do "assume" that you have the water pump turned on?

Good Luck and keep us updated.

If the red valve is set to the side it bypasses the heater but you would still get cold water as it just directs the water a different direction. If you turn the blue to the side then you don’t get any water. Both these examples are with the pump on and no city water supply.

Since the unit is used it is possible that the previous owner installed a bypass valve. I did this in my unit as we frequently travel in sub zero weather with water on board and I wanted a way to drain the water heater while under way. I installed valves in the wet bay one on the supply and one on the return line to the heater. I also have a heater in the wet bay to keep that area above freezing. I just close those valves and drain the heater. The Gerard heater you probably have is freeze protected however many people don’t like to travel with propane on so a bypass would be required.

Where are these Red / Blue Valves? I don't remember seeing these!

My bad. I did not pay attention to the year. The wet bays were changed and now have 4 color coded valves. As always advise is worth what you pay for it.

If you have a Girard Tankless then ignore my note about the bypass valves. I wasn't sure if Jayco was using them in 2013/2014.

If you have a "tanked" water heater then the best I can suggest is that they are almost always directly, behind at the back-end of the heater. You basically go inside the coach and figure out where the "back side" of the water heater is and then look for an access panel.
