2016 HJ power window fix

Hopefully this thread will make it to the Super C forum. The passenger side power window quit. So far, I have replaced the window motor/mechanism and switch. Freightliner sells the motor/mechanism as one piece. After $200 plus dollars still no joy. I swapped the window switches and it still didn't work. I get 12 volts at the motor. Im thinking something might be bound up or not lubed. Any thoughts are appreciated.

My 2016 occasionally does something similar. If I remember correctly the window motor is actually controlled thru the body control module, which receives the signal from the window switch when pressed then the BCM puts a ground on the correct leg of the window motor for directional control. When mine fails to operate I just toggle the window switch for the direction I want about 5 successive times in 5 seconds, during one of those times the window will start to operate, you just have to catch when the glass starts to move and not release the switch. I guess its a BCM software issue or faulty BCM and I'm sure they are several hundred dollars. Ill just use my work around.

Thanks CD, I didn't have any luck cycling the switch. I have 12V at the window motor. Just not enough amperage to move the motor. I can remove the assembly from and it will work when 12V is applied. I will try to lubricate the assembly and window felt and reinstall.

Update: Success! I found that the window motor and mechanism are sensitive to torsional stress. I had to loosen the motor mounts and the black bracket above the motor to shim them so the door frame wouldn't bind. Used medium locktight to secure the bolts. The window now works fine.
