2017 seneca 37TS AC Vents

A few of my adjustable louvers have come loose from inside the AC vent housing. Does the housing just pull out of the ceiling or is there something magical about they are installed?

on our 2015, there is a trim ring... it appears to just snap on, I tried to twist it counterclockwise thinking it was keyed like the LED lights are, and it popped off for me, exposing the screws that it is mounted to the ceiling with.

I had a set of louvers just disappear. I ordered a new vent on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

I believe there is a outer ring circular cover that you pry off and that reveals two screws that go into the ceiling.

oh... they never disappeared... they just took a stroll further down the air plenum towards one of the other vents. Now they are causing a rattling sound at every bump down the road as they bounce around in the ducting.

I took a long wire with a hook and fished one of the wayward louvers back to the vent. Next - I tried to snap it back into the track that the vent housing had, and nearly destroyed it trying to do so. I suggest silicone spray lube on the track with a q-tip to get it back in place.

We still have one that is broken - that I have in the overcab vent to keep me cool now.

Got them off. The cover ring has 4 snap in connectors(only 2 of mine were engaged on each vent). Just grab the ring where you feel it is connected and pull down, kind of feels like you are going to break it but it comes loose. Remove the exposed screws and the whole comes out.

I am not sure how the louvers actually come loose by themselves as they snap into the vent assembly. Anyway, I am going to use a dry lube on the louver assembly so it will turn easier.

Be cautious with the dry lube on the louvers in the assy... I lubed them and now the louvers close on their own. I have to put a clothes pin on the louvers to keep them open.
