2019vs 2018.5 Seneca

See in new specs posted by Jayco ,2019 back to 2500MH Transmission and 10 gal gas/electric HWH.
1 Is this true on Transmission and why back down to 2500?
2 Is HWH Dsi?

Thanks as i'm doing homework on my 5th Jayco Unit.

As far as I have seen and read, the Allison3000 is in the 2019 Senecas.

It is the 3000 transmission per my Jayco Seneca factory tour in May and the hot water heater switch was because the Atwood is tried and true and bumping up to a more expensive Truma to fix some issues was at a higher price point than what Jayco wanted to put in.

The Jayco website shows a 2500 MH Allison transmission for the 2019. it appears they went back down. The engine is still the 360HP upgrade in the 2018.5

It must be a typo because I am looking at a build sheet showing the Allison 3000 transmission.

And unless something has changed that decision is made by FREIGHTLINER based on the engine used.

3000 Allison

According to Rob, the 2500 is maxed out on the slightly detuned version of the 6.7 Cummins so they are really required to go with the 3000. And Rob knows his stuff!

If you look at the Freighliner Custom Chassis web site for S2 options you will see 3 engine and 3 trans options. It isn't spelled out but obvious just the same that the 300 hp i paired with the Allison 2100, the 340 hp paired with the 2500, and the 360 hp paired with the 3000.
I wonder what will be built on the lower hp options?
