2020 Air System Dryer

Does anyone know if the 2020 has the dryer for the air braking system? Thanks!

Good question! The first M2 chassis Senecas with air brakes (2016 - 2018) did not have an air dryer as standard. Some owners have taken it upon themselves to add one.

I believe the 2018.5 - 2019 units built on the S2RV chassis did come with a factory-installed air dryer. But I don't know if Jayco is still specifying an air dryer on the 2020 chassis. My 2014 M2 with an Allison 2500MH transmission came with a dash overdrive lockout switch, but they eliminated it several years later. So Jayco does switch things around on their chassis without notice.

Maybe someone with a new unit can let us all know.

I had the pleasure of touring the Seneca assembly line today 7/12. When I inspected the engine bay on a coach in QC I noticed that there is no dryer on the 2020 model.

The dryer is located back further, mounted on the frame by the air tanks, not in the engine bay. So they may still be coming with them.

Our 2016 doesn’t have the dryer and aside from the amplified noise not having one creates, don’t think it is a big issue. Haven’t gotten around yet to installing the check valve to solve the noise issue. We’re much happier knowing Jayco diverted dryer money to our excellent body and slide walls paint.

The dryers are located under the house on the rails near the battery compartment on the 2018.5 models and afterward. I would not think that they would remove them in the 2020 models but have not verified.
