Changing the fan and/or its settings would likely compromise engine cooling and air conditioner performance.

I never considered the intake to be loud at all and I appreciate the fan because pulling long hill on a hot day, it cools things right down. It’s a truck, it’s just the way they are.

I inquired with both Cummings and Freightliner about the fan noise. I was trying to put an electric fan on that would be substantially quieter. Come to find out in order to get a fan to pull enough air across the radiator to keep the engine cool I would have to rewire the whole thing with much larger wire and increase the size of my alternator to have that large of a electric fan.

Even here in Denver, our fan does not kick on that frequently. I have driven other big front engine rigs and the fan is not nearly as loud as some other trucks. I put more speakers into the cab and try to drown it out with the radio!

The Freightliner coverage does transfer...

but the Jayco coverage does not transfer, although some of the components in the coach do.

I have the same door issue in my 22 Accolade. I added some 1/4 inch rubber seal I found on Amazon to the top right and always dead bolt the door when driving to keep it closed better until my list of warranty items is long enough to take it to the dealer.
