37K Black tank

Maiden voyage, went to dump one of the two black tanks which reads full….pulled the valve and nothing comes out! What? Could they have forgot to drill a whole in the tank where it goes to the valve?

New unit or used?
OEM waste tank monitors are pretty much worthless, crud coats the sensors and they do not work properly. Your tank may be empty. If you know it is actually full the cable that operates the valve may be broken or disconnected.

Brand new, I know the monitors are useless, but it’s not empty. I used it for the last two days…..

Or possibly a tank blockage, I have read of the drain hole cutout or other debris in tank from careless builds.
Not a fun situation. Please post your findings.

Which toilet did you use and trying to dump? The half bath tank (along with the valve pull) is located on passenger side in compartment in front of the rear tires. The rear bath tank valve pull is on the passenger side as well in the next to last compartment next to the propane compartment. Also, are you using the Macerator or the bypass?

Half bath was the issue, yes both black dumps are located where you said. After driving home and using the back flush plus a toilet jock to monitor the black water level, several attempts and I started to get some out the the macerator but it was a really slow go. Then I flushed the rear tank and was still slow. Broke out the stinky slinky, and redone the rear bath tank with a healthy flush. Out came the the cutout below along with toilet paper and some other plastic. I then went back to the macerator for the half bath into the septic tank. Then heavy back flush with the stinky slinky. All clear for both the macerator and slinky now. I figure it totally blocked the half bath tank, then once freed blocked the macerator…. What a pain….

I have an appointment tomorrow to have my macerator replaced with a new one due to it being destroyed by the cutout. Crazy how many cutouts are being left in the tanks as my dealer said there have been numerous ones lately.

I’m pretty sure I am going to rib the macerator out. I have had them before but not this system. I prefer the stinky slinky, but need a macerator every now and then.

Perfect example of a Jayco employee using a hole saw on the tank and not bothering to see if the "slug" came out with the saw. There is no excuse for this. I realize if that blank from the hole saw dropped down into the tank, it would be very hard to retrieve. Still no excuse.

Yup! The first time I took the garden hose adapter off the macerator, out came practically the same piece! Really sloppy workmanship for sure! Ugh!

I have had clogging issues on 3 occasions with the half bath black tank because of the distance between the black tank valve and the macerator and dump valve. I had to use a stiff hose down into the tank, manipulating it around until it entered the tank valve, then applying pressure to force out the clog. I got tired of doing this so I bought and installed a macerator toilet typically used in boats. Now I have no problem with clogs. It's expensive, around $650.00 but it was worth it. Marinesan.com has the 7640 RV Masterflush series.
