That's a very subjective question since no one knows your lifestyle and future plans.

We have been in a car hauler made into a camper to a XLT bumper pull toy hauler to a 5th wheel toy hauler. Use to ride side by sides, Harley etc… we are looking to retire in the next 4 years and are looking at traveling a lot more. Currently go camping 6-7 times a year when work allows it… lol. Wondering about maintenance and upkeep cost of a super C compared to the 5th wheel and a 3500 ram dulley pulling it.

If it were me I would definitely consider the SENECA then. We traveled, after retirement, in our 08 for 6 years and it was great. We switched back to the PINNACLE when we started full timing because of the extra room. If not for that we would have stayed with the SENECA. Can't address maint costs since I didn't deal with DEF and the Freightliner chassis.

5th wheel to super c

Lots of heavy thinking. Something we seriously considered, and perhaps wish we had done, was an aluminum 3 or 4 slant horse trailer with living quarters and slide out. They are alot more aerodynamic than a 5th wheel, handle dirt trails or pastures, DON'T DEPRECIATE. Are mouse proof. You would have to do the outlaw package to get creature comforts of a Super C. They do make special order for toy hauling.

Best part about it is you don’t have to pull over and stop for the wife to use the bathroom! Can also get lunch out of the fridge on the go.

We made the switch after our 40' Coachman fifth wheel was totaled. The maintenance is really no more than you are paying/doing on the RAM diesel and fifth wheel. Traded the Ford F350 diesel in for an F150 that has become our TOAD. I do have to agree we get much farther on drive days with a 100 gallon fuel tank and not having to stop for DW to have to go pee. Even the Co Pilots arrive at our destination happier.

We went from a 35" Big Horn to a Seneca and would never go back. The Seneca is a little smaller but the drive and convenience makes it worth it.

We have a fifth wheel toy hauler and a Seneca. We love both and each has their pluses and minuses. We are considering another Seneca because they are well built coaches. If you are interested in a 2013FK send me a message.
