What is the best brake system for towing a dingy with a motorhome that has air brakes

I use the Ready Brute Elite towbar with the mechanical braking system all built into it for about 10 years now and they work great.

NSA also makes a stand alone mechanical system for use with any towbar. Simple and effective.

I am sure you will get lots of different opinions here.
We use the SMI Stay-in-Play system.
It uses two factor authentication before applying the brakes. Also, once you install it, you don't need to un-install every time you hook up or unhook. The pneumatic cylinder stays mounted under the dash. We have it installed in a 5500 lbs GMC Pickup for over 80K miles and five years without any issue.

EDIT: we use a Blue-Ox tow bar.

One thing to consider is IF you will at any time want to tow the vehicle with another vehicle. Occasionally I will go someplace with my son in hos smaller motorhome and I can just hook up to his rv and go. Something you can’t do with some systems. I have also towed my Jeep with my pickup when I had mechanical issues.

I use the RVI3 braking system by RVI; it only needs a breakaway cable connection to the RV; but I had to run a 12VDC fused line to the battery for power. It does have to be installed each time but only 3 minutes. It uses inertial sensors to detect how hard the RV is braking and applies proportionally to the towed vehicle braking system.

Ditto on the RVI3 system. I went all in and like the system for the most part. I installed it all myself and am running the Roadmaster Nighthawk for the toad.

By dinghy, I assume you mean small powerboat. I have a dinghy. It weighs about 400 lbs. No trailer brakes are necessary for something that small. Consult your state regulations about max tow weight before brakes are required. In my state, I think it's 1500 lbs.

Dingy is another term for a towed vehicle or toad.
