BROCHURE 26000 GVW , sticker 28000 GVW ?

Looking at 2013 37RB. BROCHURE states 26000# GVW. Unit weight is 21701# with a CCC of 6299# for a total of 28000#. Door sticker is 28000# GVW, and 33000# GCVW. The SENECA Brochure for ALL 2013 units is 26000# GVW ,and 33000# GCVW. Any one know why the + of 2000# ???? Thanks for any info. Called Jayco and was on hold for a life time and gave up.

The door sticker trumps the brochure but I have no idea why the change.

X-2 Could be just a spring upgrade on the chassis they used. Doesn't take much to add 2,000lbs to a truck that size.

The difference between GWR of the Seneca and the GCWR is not a simple sum of the weights.

GWR is mostly based on what the vehicle capacity of weight on each axle is.

GCWR takes into consideration the additional weight being towed (not hitch weight) but is rated based on the capacity of brakes, suspension and other driveline factors. They limit the maximum towing to 10,000# at the hitch.

YOU are responsible for adjusting how much stuff you carry in the Seneca -vs- how much stuff you carry on the trailer so that you do not exceed the 33,000# total combined weight of everything. The Trailer towing capacity of our 15' Seneca is 10,000# and we have yet to reach that while towing everything we wanted to bring/ need on a 6-month trip.
