Broken battery compartment panel

I just got back from a trip to Williams, AZ and noticed part of my chassis battery compartment cover panel is missing. See attached photo. Sorry, can’t figure out how to rotate the pic. Does anyone know where I might obtain a replacement?

It broke because the leading edge of the panel is not anchored. I just anchored mine, but when I removed it for closer examination I noticed it had a slight crack on the backside in the same area yours broke.

To anser your question, I would think JAYCO would be the one to call.

There might be a sticker on the back of the panel with a JAYCO part #.

I need one too... 2015 FK Ours is cracked in a number of different places. I will not take it to CW for the paint... they quoted me $600 for paint alone.

Anyone who replaces this piece make sure you figure out a way to hold that foward tip down. Very early in my ownership I installed a rivnut behind that forward section and use a stainless screw with a nylon washer to hold it down. It has worked perfectly and my original cover is still perfect. The screw keeps that forward tip from vibrating in the wind, which seems to be why they break where they do.

I would have to think a local body shop could paint a replacement for way less than that Camping World quoted!

Thanks to all for re-posting this. Mine has been broken since I bought it and haven't gotten to it yet.

If you have your paint codes, go online and order a rattle can of matching paint. There are a number of sites that will make a custom rattle can

Jayco Part # 0216361 - Panel, Double Strength Plastic Filler (Battery Cover)

Has anyone ordered this part with this part number successfully? Our battery cover panel is broke as well and we want to replace it. We called Jayco today and they couldn’t find a part number for the cover.

Jayco also said Freightliner would have to be the one to supply that part. Can’t find anything online for this cover, whatsoever.

Several others have indeed purchased this through Jayco (via a dealer). It is NOT a Freightliner part. Jayco also supplied the steps, I have attached a couple of pictures of the bare chassis as delivered to Jayco. Different steps (temporary) and no battery cover panel.

Try another call to Jayco, you may even have to call the Service Center rather than just a Customer Service phone rep. But it is possible it is something Jayco no longer stocks. The cover was last used on early 2018 builds since the S2RV chassis no longer has batteries under the cab like our M2's do.

Ours is still cracked... and where the stainless screws that attach it to the cab are... they are all busted up.
