Have you looked at accessories for the Freightliner M2 106 chassis?

Do the m2 guards fit the s2? As far as the Raney model, I was thinking of deer hunting not buffalo!

The Raney catalog reference is for the M2-112 which is a different hood. You need the M2-106 like this beast. Were you looking for something to spend that stimmie check on?

I am picking up my new 2021 37TS on Friday and have started discussions with these guys to make a mount that works with the S2 chassis. They say the mounting holes are slightly different between M2 and S2 but should be easy to make work if there is enough interest.

I’m looking at Retrac Tuff Guard 2. I called Retrac, spoke to sales who spoke to “engineer”, to see if the mounting brackets will fit S2. Got a definite “maybe”.
I’ve looked at some Freightliners in parking lots, box trucks etc. so far haven’t seen one with the same tow hook bolt pattern.
S2 has 2 bolts vertical, 2 bolts horizontal. The ones I’ve seen were not the same. Although not sure exactly what year those were.
I’m going to go to local Freightliner dealer and take a look, hopefully some 19-20-21 models on their lot.

Had a problem with the mounts/brackets on this one also. The brackets from the previous series of frieghtliner trucks fit the S2/rv.

Spider, do you mean earlier years of chassis? The Buckstop site shows that it needs to be a chassis with angled hooks, not vertical, so still some question as to what year chassis to specify.

I was told that the brackets used were from a 2006 M2 chassis. Mine is a 2019. Hope this helps. Actually, my chassis is labeled a2018, 2019 Seneca

Thank you Spider. I drove an hour and a half to the local Freightliner dealer, looked at 5 or 6 M2’s, some new and some unknown year, all had angled tow hooks and just vertical bolts.
Talked to a truck sales guy, he pulled up my VIN on his computer, but wasn’t familiar with the differences in tow hook mounts. So it’s still a big question mark.
We’re heading out for the winter on the 27th, so even if I could identify the mounts for a grille guard, they all ship truck freight, not sure I could get one from Raney’s to Seattle in a couple weeks.
I’m going to hold off until next spring…<sigh>
