Cable TV in my Seneca???

I can not get the cable TV to work when hooked up to CG cable. Can someone tell me the procedure for getting it to work in my 2017 Seneca?

Thanks, Guys,
Rick

Digital converter

Our 2016 Seiki TVs do not have a digital converter ( I thought all TVs made in the last 10 years were digital ) we are told that you can get a “ cable box “ and it will work but we didn’t pursue the issue and went with the Dish Network satellite system Les

So Les, you're telling me that I can not take advantage of free cable at the CG without a cable box?

Rick,

Hookup the cable to the input on the outside of your RV. Be sure the antenna booster inside the RV is off, signified by a green light being off. Then you will need to auto program your television as per the onscreen instructions.

Each campground has a different cable system, we have found. So each time you move, you will have to do the above.

CG cable

We have experienced CG's that have not converted cable system to digital so they provide a box if you want cable; some charge a few dollars a day.

x2 on Signal Booster must be off. I went a year before I saw that on this sight and it was a real "duh" moment. Flipped off the booster and cable was perfect. Only cost me a new cable (I guess I needed a new one any way) and some frustration, but works as advertised.

Thanks Guys, I did not turn off the antenna booster. Thought about it but because it is so difficult to get to and I didn't think it would have anything to do with cable reception.

Yes, you need to crawl up to the “entertainment area” and flip the antenna switch. I ended up adding a remote switch so it was easy to swith on and off.

The first time I tried cable I the found cable did not reach the box and I had to reroute the cable to reach.

Rick

I pulled the switch from the wall behind the TV and cut the power wire, added a couple feet of wire and a toggle switch and mounted as shown. Working on the switch was a PITA because of the location. I leave the power button on the switch depressed and control the on/off from the toggle switch.

It was crazy having to crawl up on the bed and search for the tiny button switch each time. And it seemed it was in the wrong position for every campground I came to.
