Your Seneca is considered a Housecar and does not require anything other than a regular CA drivers license:

What is a Housecar California?
A “house car” is a motor vehicle originally designed, or permanently altered, and equipped for human habitation, or to which a camper has been permanently attached

That is right from the CA DMV code.

Took my NYS road-test today! It's official!

So the deal in NY State is I paid $10 for my permit for my "R" endorsement on my regular driver's license.

Called and scheduled my road test and they got me in pretty quick.

The overall test was about 15 minutes. Went out for a drive couple of stop signs, a few lefts, a few rights, parallel park and back to the test site. I was ready for all the air brake questions even though they're not required on the test but he didn't so much as even use the word air brake the whole time.

Now I have to turn in my paperwork to DMV and I will then have the endorsement which effectively is a non CDL class b license.

I think New York state is one of only five states that this is required.

Easy peasy!

SC requires a Class E or F or RVs over 26k.

Class E it you’re not towing. Class F if you are towing. Towing includes trailer or TOAD.

Simply put you do not need a B or C to drive any RV under 40 feet if your home state is CA. Why would you want to get a Class B license if you do not need to?
