Crossfire Dual Tire Pressure Equalization System

Has anyone installed these on the Seneca, are they worth it?

I have only seen one or two posts on the Facebook Seneca pages of people installing these. I can see the benefit on OTR or Fleet trucks but I feel a TPMS is better as you can sometimes visually see a problem before and prevent a blowout. I had a blowout on our stacker going down the road at 65mph, didn’t hear or feel a thing but the TPMS immediately notified me and we got stopped before any damage occurred to the trailer. I would never drive without one on our coach and toads/trailers.

Just ordered the Cat eye. Does same thing. Checking inside rear tire pressure is a pain. Hope Cat eye helps. Safe travels

Enjoy the journey

I don’t use an equaliation system, but do have TPMS. I notice that after driving for a while, the inside duals are always at a higher pressure, sometimes more than 5psi difference. Must be from heat. Outers are more in the wind. I’m not going to stop and let air out of the inners. Then they will be under inflated when cold.
Just another thing to fret about while driving…
I don’t think you can have both, equalization and TPMS. Maybe if you have flow-through TPMS sensors?

I have seen the equalization system malfunction and let the air out of the good tire on tractor trailer rigs.

The inside dual will always warn warmer, partially from engine/exhaust heat and being on a steel wheel which doesn't dissipate heat as well as the aluminum. Nothing to stress about, tire is still running withing temp and pressure range. Just something you have to get used to .

You may have hit the nail on the head Brian regarding the wheel. I notice no significant difference on my Tireminder system after driving a bit, but my 2014 has aluminum wheels at all 6 tire positions. Plus the exhaust dumps out more forward on the M2 compared to a S2RV.

My outside tire will show warmer for a bit if it's sitting in the sun, but after a few miles of driving it settles down to the rest of the back tires.
