Dash Speaker Upgrade

I am wanting to know what speakers have used to upgrade the stock junk dash speakers. Also how involved is it to replace the speakers? Thanks!

For the newer unites, they take 5 1/4 speakers and are fairly simple to replace. While you have the dash off, tape down all the loose wires you find back there to reduce vibrations. You may also want to install a on/off switch for the radio at the same time.

I used the MB Quart PS1-213 for the dash to add in some separate tweeters. Also ran 6 1/2 speakers in the Build5fab center console. To power them, I bought a small amp and stashed it in the dash. The factory Sony speaker preamp goes to the amp and the rear wired speakers still go to the ceiling speakers so I have 6 speakers now.

Safe to say there are TWO dash speakers? I get the right just fine, but not a drop of sound out of the left. ????
Also, both OUTSIDE speakers are blown. Any suggestions on replacements? Thanks
