A little heads up when you change it. If you open the drain on the bottom, it can create a siphon and just keep pulling fuel from the tank. I finally found the documents on changing this filter and there is a vent plug on the top of the housing. When you go to drain the bowl, you need to open this vent plug to stop it from siphoning. I pour some clean fuel in the bowl before putting it on and the primer pump on top of the housing is awkward to pump and it saves time.

My 2021 has 9000 miles on it. The wife and I are going to be traveling this winter. It probably is to soon to be changing this one already. Not sure

I change mine with every service which is yearly or 7500 miles which ever is first. I change the oil, oil filter, primary fuel filter and secondary fuel filter at the same time.

We can't read your thumbnail and would really like to have that information. Could you please send your source so I can look it up myself. I can't get the filter canister to fill by itself so i manually filled it but my engine won't start. Looking for ideas. Thanks, Tom

The filter bowl may look full but you need to prime the system by pumping the primer button on top of the filter, you need to pump it probably about 20 times or until you feel resistance to prime the system. It may run a little rough when first started but let it idle a bit and it will clean up. The documents came from my DTNA account and unless you have an account you cant access it. I converted the images to PDFs so they should be larger when you open them.

Well if you have power at the macerator, my guess would be the motor is bad. There have been many reports of them going out. I hated using ours but rarely used it and it started smelling no matter how much it was flushed so I just removed it…much happier now.
