Freedom X low battery cutoff

I noticed the factory low voltage battery cutoff (LBCO) default setting for the Xantrex Freedom X inverter on my 2022 accolade 37K was set to 10.5 volts. (12 volt setting) Which means if the power goes out, and inverter is powering appliance, it would drain the batteries dead. I set it to 12.1, which would be just below 60% of charge on 4 6volt, AGM batteries wired for 12 Volt output.

Does this sound correct?

I went 12.0. Just whatever your preference is. I do think 10.5 is crazy.

Thanks, that’s how I felt. The real test will be boon docking, no generator and running a spike load….I don’t do much of that, being the wife is temperature controlled….

Yep, I'm on a 21 day trip to Maine. First 3 nights was full hookups and all were happy. Now on night 1 of 3 straight that are Harvest Host boondocking. Told everyone sailor showers only for 3 days. Wife okay with it, 19 y.o. daughter...not so much.

I was reading this thread with interest. Last week I forgot to plug in my rig after coming home from camping. The inverter probably kept my fridge running for a few days then shut down once it hit the programmed low voltage.
I was concerned because it really flattened my batteries. I was going to raise the shut down voltage but then started thinking about power surge requirements such as the fridge starting or whatever else I'm using. Will this prematurely shut down my inverter if I set the voltage to high? I guess it's about finding that sweet spot to set the cutoff.

Nope, teens aren't. They are so used to long hot showers at home, which I can understand. When my daughter was vacationing with us in the trailer, it wasn't appropriate to open the door and yell, so I stood outside and started rapping on the door after 10 minutes or so. Only had to do it once.

If the inverter LBCO was set to factory default, 10.5 volts. You may have trashed your batteries. Will be interesting to see how they recharge and retain voltage at this point.

This is very interesting, does anyone have a link to instructions on how to change that on the xantrex inverter?
