Freightliner Locks

Anyone added remotes to their powered door locks. I have a 2020 HJ.

I traded a 2006 Jayco Seneca GS35 (w/remotes) for a new 2018 37HJ. Couldn’t believe it didn’t have remotes. Freightliner checked build. Weren’t on it. I’ll be interested in your responses. Thanks for posting.

I did on my 2014, I used a Autoloc KL550 I sourced from Summit Racing. Had to take off the dash panel to install, but I've done that many times in my projects! The Autoloc system adapts to different types of power locks, my 2014 M2 is a "reverse polarity" locking system. I suspect (but can't say for certain) that the newer S2RV Senecas are the same. I wired it to the parking lights so I get confirmation flashes when I lock or unlock the doors. One caveat there - if the rig has been sitting for a bit the modules "go to sleep". It will unlock at the first push but I might not get a parking light flash. But at the second "unlock" push I do. It has to do with the Freightliner multiplexed wiring system.

When I did wire mine I installed everything with bullet connectors and polarized them such that I could easily return the wiring to factory stock.

The system has worked well for 4+ years now. Attached are a link to the system and a copy of the installation instructions.

Following up on this, can you get something from Freightliner or has anyone else come up with any alternative options other than what Robbyr posted?

Thanks,
Jeff
