Question Generator - 2023 Jayco Seneca XT 32U

First time dry camping and my generator used about 20 gallons of my RV diesel fuel in 6 hours. It's built in and is fueled using gas tank. I had the AC on for about 2 hours. What am I missing? Literally ran out of gas.

Also I drove across country from Raleigh, NC to CA this week and need advice on new shocks. Very rough ride.
Thanks!

Something sure seems wrong with the generator, if you have the QD6000 unit Onan's specs show the full load fuel consumption is only .70 gallons/hour. Are you sure the unit wasn't drawing from one fuel tank and returning to the other? It would seem if it was actually burning that much fuel the exhaust would be very sooty.

As Robbyr said something is definitely wrong, there is no way your geny used that much fuel. As to the shocks, buy KONI's not cheap, but definitely worth it.

That usage is 4-5 times max use. The engine simply could not run at that high fuel intake. not sure how the fuel moves from one side to the other but it looks like one tank is 40 and the other is 26 gallons, most if not all built in generators stop around 25% fuel capacity so if the unit is taking from the smaller tank the flow could stop the generator at some point and you still have 16 gallons of fuel remaining.
