I just wanted to take a few minutes to send a quick note to you all to say THANK YOU! I have been watching this forum for the last year and the information exchange and insights really helped me in my purchasing decision.
I am now the proud owner of a 2022 Jayco Seneca 37K!
I literally just picked it up Monday (Florida) and drove it straight back to Long Island to my family's surprise! It was the best kept secret!
1)The PDI information was so helpful! After several hours I finished with a punch list of 4 items! I am wondering if I really did a good job but I guess that remains to be seen!
2) As I climbed the ladder to the roof during the PDI I discovered a fully functional solar panel! I didn't see anything on these threads about it shipping standard, but it's there!! I will go back through the solar panel threads, I think RustyNuts posted some good details. I will re-read and consider next steps in the near future.
3) The drive home was great; it drives like a dream and handles well! When the amount you spend on fuel is almost equal to what you pay in tolls, you know its time to get off Long Island! Averaged about 9MPG running between 68-70 MPH (1,800 - 2k RPMs) using cruise control most of the time.
If there were ever going to be squeaks and rattles it certainly would have been after running I95 up the coast and traversing the Cross Bronx Expressway! So far so good!
4) I have the long list of mods but already started some purchases like, EZ Pass, ScanGuage, center console, dog bones, water pressure regulator. The DEF locking cap was out of stock on ebay, Amazon still wants $250 but I found it at THE CHROME SHOP online. I am waiting on my locking fuel combo lock to arrive. Putting a 50-amp campground post on the side of the house next week.
Again, I really want to thank you all for being so helpful in my RV journey!
I will now be active on these forums and try to give back as much as I can!
Stay well, travel safe and have a happy new year!
