So what is the rush? Enjoy your vacation and let the engine do the work with it's capabilities it has.

Going uphill slow down
Have you had the Allison transmission reprogrammed? The units are programmed in economy mode and unless you have a overdrive switch you will need an Allison transmission shop to reprogram the unit to performance mode. Do a search on here for Allison reprogram. Lots of information available. It should cost between $100-200. Currently the unit shifts 300 rpm lower than with the performance mode.

I drove across the passes on I40 through Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico and with my 2008 GS with Duramax, I could hold 70 mph.
It did have an Edge programmer.

I assumed it was a 37 TS but got to thinking there might be something else in the jayco line with TS in the name. I could not find anything. Sure would help if posters could be more specific.

Reprogram transmission to performance mode. It should come from factory with performance mode but doesn't. Mine now drives like it is supposed to.

X2
This happened to me towing our car on a trailer last October. I am taking mine for reprogram at the end of the month.

I feel the Cummins is a good engine given the opportunity.

Cruise control
Try the same hill or similar hill using the cruise and let the computer do it's thing - I gain 12 - 15 MPH at the top of the hill - it doesn't cost anything ( time or $$ )

One of my favorite movies of all time.
But seriously, Cats are overrated, especially post-Tier IV emissions. You Seneca owners are suffering from a simply undersized sub-7 liter diesel in a chassis that weighs out on the heavy side for a single axle. Your gross weight really warrants something in the 8-9 liter range, but of course price constraints dictate the small Cummins.

I did the trans reprogram and it still leaves me wanting more power to climb the grades. It did make a big difference but not enough for me.
It's not that I am in a rush but if I can't keep up with the semi trucks on grades then I feel like I'm a moving road hazard. I'd be happy with 45mph towing on the grades.
Any other power tuners or anything out there to get a little more out of power out of these ?
Banks systems appear to be for the older models....

This came up for discussion a while ago and the consensus was that while yes, you can tune the Cummins, it is the Allison 2500 that is the weak link in the chain. The maximum torque rating for the 2500 is achieved by the 340HP/700 lb/ft ISB. Turn up the heat, bye bye Allison warranty!
The S2RV chassis ups the ISB's HP and torque, but with the Allison 3000 transmission. Cushion for more power.

We have an extended warranty with this. We've only had it since Monday. I'll have to check it.
Thank you for the info.

The transmission reprogram won't adversely affect your warranty, the performance program is already "in" the transmission, it just isn't the primary shift schedule. Now whether you can get the programming done under warranty at no cost, that is the question. It seems some were able to get it free, others had to pay.
Regarding the warranty, I was indicating that if you increase the engine's power via an aftermarket tuner, you might have a transmission (or engine) claim denied if there is a failure.
