Hazard lights won't turn off.

We are camping at a full hook up campsite and got caught in an unusual snow for the area. There is about 4 inch of snow on the ground and the temp is 32 degrees. The hazard lights on my 2019 Seneca came on and would not turn off. I figured it was probably a cold warning thing so I plugged in the block heater and this did not help. I turned on the engine and this did stop the hazard lights but hopefully they do not come back on when I shut the motor down. When I shut the motor down I was going to plug the block heater in. Has anybody had this happen before? My neighbors are probably wondering why I have my hazards on. Any help would be appreciated.

My older model car has a turn and hazard light flasher. It is a relay that turns on, gets hot in a second and snaps off and repeats. Hence the click, click under the dash. This may be the problem. Or it could be the switch is stuck. Any car store (Autozone, Napa, etc.) will probably have one and help you find it. They just plug into a socket hanging under the dash in most cars and trucks.

The more I think of it the more likely it is the dash switch. If the flasher can does not get power it can't make flashes. But go for the low hanging fruit and see if pulling the flasher can stops it until you can get the emergency flasher switch replaced.

Was it just the hazard lights or all the dash lights and outside lights? Some 2019 Senecas have this issue and I have read about a Diode being installed to stop the problem. I had the problem on my 2018.5 twice and has never done it again. Here is a thread on it.

Yes Rusty my Seneca has always done that since new. When I get to camp and turn off the motor the dash lights only pulse for about 2 hours then turn off completely. This was the hazard lights came on and the switch would not turn them off. I fired up the motor and brought it up to temperature then I turned it off and went and plugged in the block heater and they have not came back on. The ironic part is after I did that the dash lights didn't do that pulse thing for the first time. The only thing I can think of its a temperature sensor on the freightliner motor I just would like to confirm that. You do not look to cool with your hazards going off late at night in the middle of the campground.
