Headlight adjustment

I want to adjust my headlights down just a bit. Last time out at night I got brighted by on-coming car once so I want to adjust the lights down just a bit.
I have the instructions for adjustment but it doesn’t specify turn directions.
Which way turning adjusts the lights down ?
Clockwise or counter clockwise on the adjustment ?
Are the same side to side ?

I can’t remember from when I adjusted them last time and won’t be able to play with them until I need to drive it.

When I changed the headlights on my truck, I started with a side of a building then moved to a residential street. I had the GF bring her car and we did some “drive by’s” to check for property alignment. Once you start turning the adjustment screws it’ll become obvious which direction does what...

What kind of vehicle?

I had an absolute DEVIL of a time adjusting my 2016 E450 "aerodynamic" lamps.
Horrible. I tried the Ford instructions and the screwdriver never caught.

Finally, I took an hour and some sockets. Yanked each headlamp out - spun the adjustment wheel and reinstalled.

Step one was to figure out if I needed clockwise or ccw.

Then steps 2 to 12 were getting them lowered.

I finally got it but what a load of #$%^& it gave me!

I installed the OEM Freightliner LED headlights and had Freightliner adjust them on my 15k service and I still get flashed. I will try and remember tomorrow to pull a old light out and see if I can tell which way to turn for down adjustment.

For some reason posting on my cellphone didn't include my "signature".

I'm adjusting on a 2018 Seneca (Freightliner M2).

Ah - ok.
I hope your alignment goes better than mine did!

Thank you for trying. I appreciate it.
I'll have to make some time to play with them again and figure it out.
