Heat Pump Drain

Ok I have looked everywhere first so as not to bother y’all. Need your opinion.
I had a heat pump installed last year on 2007 Jayco Seneca 35GS. What on earth is a good method of draining the water. It has a sump pump(?) in it and I placed a plastic hose on it that lays on the roof and goes to the rain gutter. Problem is that it keeps plugging up. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it drain better?

What brand did you have installed? Never heard of that in over 20 years of having a Heat Pump on a rig..

That is a new design so I doubt many on JOF will be able to help address the hose. My guess is that unit is actually designed for a Class "A" since it is made to eliminate water pooling on the roof according to COLEMAN. Since pump is an option it may have been all the dealer could get due to the shortages of units.

Optional Condensate Pump for MACH 8 PLUS Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps:
Say good-bye to pools of water on your rooftop. The condensate pump ensures any water generated during the cooling process will be "whisked" away instead of pooling on your rooftop.

Is the hose just laying on the roof ? If it was mine I would cut the hose and just leave enough sticking out to work with and wire tie it to the shroud. Having the water on the roof won't hurt anything, no different than the old unit.
