Moderators note: This recall applies to Class C and Super C. and has several numbers depending on model and year of your motorized unit. There is a separate thread covering this in the class C forum.

Yeah there has been quite the confusion by owners and Jayco on this one!

The first thread on the Class C category was before the Super C category and the First recall, 20V-548, was for Class C and Super C's but then us Super C owners got a letter saying it was a mistake

Then the Super C category got started (Thank You!) and a NEW recall 20V-796 came out only for the Super C's but people are getting confused when a new post comes up and getting posted in the wrong category

Trying to figure this situation out. I took the recall letter to the dealer the other day to go ahead and get the part ordered. This dealer location isn’t the one we bought from but the same company, just 100 miles closer. I had taken it in back last year when we got the first letter and everything was fine, but they let me know later that my unit wasn’t involved in the recall after all. So when I went in this time, the service guy said they could order the “fix” kit and Jayco would ship it to them for free, but I would need to pay them to install and then get reimbursed from Jayco. Tried telling me it was some kind of Texas law. So I took my letter back from them and said I would check on it. Went across the road to another Jayco dealer, showed them the letter, gave them the VIN, and they said they would call when it came in. I asked if Jayco paid the whole bill and they said yes since it was a recall. Now both of these dealers have recently built satellite dealerships in my town from other larger cities. Not sure if this has anything to do with why they told me what they did. Something just doesn’t sound right.

Not sure why you would need to pay for the install if they are a Jayco dealer? Doesn't sound like they know what they are talking about...
