Jayco Seneca 37 TS Truma water heater

Trauma aqua go water heater not heating. I don’t think I’m getting power to the unit because the operating led isn’t lighting up to indicate power to the unit. Not even getting a red led to indicate trouble.
Your thoughts anyone?

Have you checked the fuse in the power center? Perhaps swap fuses with a known good one.

Is this the fuse panel we have located in the master bedroom?

Yes. It will be connected to one of the circuits in that main panel, but there could be other 12-volt items tied into the same fuse. Everything else 12-volt working?

Yes, ours has one labeled Water Heater. If a fuse is blown, there should be a red led light lit up next to it to indicate it’s bad. If the fuse is good, then I would check for 12v at the unit itself with a multimeter. I know of 2 cases with the Truma that the power wires on the back of the unit were worn through where they were laid over the top of the metal shelland shorting out and blowing the fuse. The only way to this area is to remove the Truma or cut in an access panel to the rear of the unit.

So don’t ask me how I know but……on my unit there is the switch on the water heater that has to be on and also the switch at my controll panel. I spent 10 mins trying to figure out why my heater wouldn’t work

FYI, the switch out on the water heater itself can just be left on all the time as 12 volts is not even supplied to the water heater until the main inside switch is turned on.
