Light on dash always red

I have a 2015 Seneca 36’. On the dash next to the cigarette lighter is a red light that stays on, any idea what it’s for?

We have a 2015 FK and don't know what you are describing... can you post a picture?

different ways to do it. Click on post reply and will bring you to this page. Look above to the right of the smiley face and look for the paper clip icon. Click on it and it will open a page saying manage attachments. see where it says, browse, no files selected. Click on any one of those. It will bring up your directories in your computer. Now look where you have those pictures, may be in the computer or cell phone if connected to computer . double click on that picture you want. Now come back to that manage attachment page we spoke a few minutes ago, and you will see a file number with a JPEG designation at the end to the right of whichever browse you clicked on in the first place. Now, to the right and bottom of where the browse buttons are you will see an upload button. Click on it. Now it will tell you it is uploading files. Have patience, depending on internet speed, it might take just a little bit. Once done, you will see below where all the browse buttons are, something saying "current attachments". That's your picture and you are done. I was doing all of this as I was typing this reply. Now hit submit reply on this page below, and you are golden. You can upload multiple pictures on this same reply by repeating the process. Remember to have patience and wait for the next "current attachment" by your first one.

The red light next to the cigarette is for your steps, if the red light is on it let's you know that your steps may be down or not all the way up with your transmission in drive. My red light flashes once and while because of the little micro switch needs adjusting

You can also click on quote just below the post you are reading and wish to respond with their post headlined as I did here, and it brings up the reply screen with your quote on it. All else the same as indicated on last post. paper click above, etc.

Our 2015 36FK has nothing similar to this. The step control is nearer to the door than it is to the cab. We do not have any signle red light near the cig-lighter at all.

Still need to see a picture of what this is - to say what it might be

Nothing like that on my 2014 either. Something someone likely added. I added remote power locks and the system has a small LED that tells me when system locked. I mounted mine under the dash.

I'll get a pic of mine this weekend, it looks like it's from the factory to me, like I said in my previous post, that the red light goes on when I put in gear, but what I have done was when we get ready to leave the rv park, I turn the power on to the steps, close the door, steps go up, I kind push on the steps as they are going up a little and it is just enough to make the limit switch contact open. I just haven't taken the time to adjust it

Someone added that, it is not stock Freightliner. So no idea what it could be without probably taking dash apart and tracing the wires.

Like I said in my previous posts, my red light seems to be activated by my steps. it took me a while to figure it out, because the red light would come on, then I put in park, walk around outside and kick the steps, get in, put in gear, red light was off

That is nothing like what our dash has like Robbbyr says... That does not exist on our Seneca.

on another topic... Why in the world did they put the Overdrive lockout switch on the passenger side???? Do you have DW do the downshifting for you with the switch in such an impossible to reach location?... I would move that over to the drivers side.. that is the most used switch on our dash. !

Swap that switch with the passenger side power window switch... Your DW will love you for it!

I'm frequently driving alone so I left the passenger window switch on my side, but I did move the O/D switch closer!

I put the OD lockout and the Exhaust brake switches right above the hammer pedal... I moved the passenger window onto the passenger side... It looks like you are half-way there.

EDIT: Added the pic for the OP! No red light on this dash
