We had the same countertops in our 2011 fifth wheel as are in our 2015 Seneca. I about had a melt down when we were doing our initial load of the fifth wheel, and the box of dishes (a cardboard box) put a huge scratch in our new countertops... apparently, that's completely normal. Grrr...
We bought our Seneca used, so it arrived with 2 years of someone else scratching up the counters, and they did some doozies! But, I'm over it now. Scratches are just proof that the RV is being used and enjoyed, now.
If I recall, you have to use varying grits of sand paper to buff out the scratches, then wax and polish... and then the glossy finish will last only until you use the counter again.
I don't know who picked this material for RV's, but it was a terrible decision. I'd take a nice, hardy laminate any day over this soft scratchy solid surface crap.
