Mouse in the Seneca

After years and years of camping in a toyhauler, class A, and now the Seneca we got our first mouse inside the Seneca. (He has been evicted now)

We had our electrical cord out, water hose out, and the macerator hose out... The electrical and water hose both run through smaller holes into the underneath storage. The macerator runs out a larger opening. Not sure how he got inside but guessing he climbed one of these.

This little guy was climbing inside the interior walls (could hear him), upper kitchen cabinets, kitchen drawers, kitchen countertop...... he was very mobile while inside. A mouse inside your RV eating your tortilla chips at 2am is not fun, they are not quiet eaters, lol.

Any suggestions to deter mice from coming in again ?
I really like the full hook ups and it has never happened before but we have another trip back to the same campground next month. I'm hesitant to use the hookups and looking for ways to hopefully deter the mice.

Unless you have scoured under your Senecas for openings, they will get in. With all my mods I have done in the last 2 years I have been in every nook and cranny on ours and just yesterday I came across an open entry point underneath! They can get in the tiniest crack or slit, for the sewer hose I use a Critter Guard which works great and I have made my own seals that I use on the Power cord and hose outlet to seal them off. If you start pulling all your drawers out of the cabinets and access panels under the sinks you will be surprised of the opening you will find that need to be sealed up.

Tons of posts you can find under mice or mouse. Some like repellants like Freshcab, pepermint and dryer sheets but others have said this is not always successful.

I went on this and prior trailers with the block everything I can find. I use stainless steel wool and/or aluminum screen wire installed with foam or silicone caulk. Most importantly I went inside under the sink, inside the power converter cabinet, inside the pump/hot water heater cabinet and around the water tank drains. Outside I added screens for wasps on the water heater, furnace, and fridge vents. Yep, on a prior Trailmanor I got them into the refrigerator, ate and nested in the fiberglass insulation. And everything else. I pack around the electric cord outside opening when plugged in with stainless steel mesh.
