Thanks Rusty! I found the other thread the other night about the gas pedal.

Still no codes since cleared and I'm in Roanoke heading to Atlanta tomorrow.

I was looking at those that you circled....it only seems to do the hesitation at low speed (under 10-12mph)

If didn't need to be in Atlanta tomorrow I'd swing through Gaffney. I have an appointment when I get back home on the 4th at my local freightliner dealer.

If I can find the time during the week next week I might try to swing by freightliner before heading home. I'll have to see.

Thanks for you help!

Who was the manufacturer and what was the model of your scan gauge. Or was it the product named "ScanGuage"? Sorry to be so basic but I want to buy the right device once.

He used the product called ScanGauge D but I suggest you also look into the Bluefire For Motorhomes as it will also read and clear codes. I used to use the Scangauge before the Bluefire came out and the Bluefire is much better and has so much more information along with audible warnings.

Make sure you have the latest version. Go to their web site for information on. It says it has been superseded by Bluefire Apps 6.0.0

Sorry for the delayed response...was en route to Atlanta. Here is the quick updated on the hesitation and engine code...
As mentioned before, I cleared the code and just about made the entire trip before the amber check engine light went back on.

The hesitation is still in the pedal. Took the rig to the Peach State Freighliner Service Center off I75 in Forrest Park, GA. They were so accommodating and really well versed in all things S2RV! After some diagnostics, a quick test drive and some troubleshooting it was determined (by Britt) that the pedal might be the culprit. The ironic part about it is the computer is not picking up the glitch in the pedal and/or throwing a code since it happens so fast.

Interestingly enough when they said the engine light code and the hesitation were separate issues, I thought, good! Shane said there is a national backlog on accelerator pedals... So of course, I asked the question, "Is there an issue with them?" His reply was "Well I have seen a few that were bad recently, lets just go with that!"

2 hours @ $227/hr for RVs, its been determined that when I get back home for my appointment I should give my local dealer the write up and have them replace the pedal under warranty and I can drive back without any worry.

An expensive peace of mind, but I guess I will take it!

Once I get back I will post an update on the findings and remedy.

More to come...

Not knowing what vehicle you’re driving i will give you my best guess. If your 1996 or newer with a gasoline engine you will need a OBD2 scanner. It will clear codes .
