Now's the time

To tell me no...
Ordering a 2021 Accolade 37L through NIRVC. $216,791 before taxes ($232,464 OTD with 7% TN taxes and all other fees). No trade in.

It has dual 15k A/C's/with heat pumps (now standard), 190 watts solar (also now standard), induction cooktop (also now standard and against my wishes), 12 cubic ft gas/electric fridge, slideout tray with 12V refrigerator, and theater seats.

I'm ordering the new Oceanside exterior color and Richmond interior.

I'll be adding more solar (myself) and my usual goodies. This week be my 4th motorhome and my 5th RV. I'm a big boondocker, hence the gas/electric fridge.

I know all of you paid less, but this is 28% off MSRP for current times and my options are to wait and not go full-time when I retire next year hoping the prices drop or bite the bullet. I'm biting.

Sometime late this year it'll come in. I'm orderingfrom a dealer hundreds of miles away for about the same price as a dealer 40 miles away. Why? How they've treated and responded to me so far. NIRVC has been solid. I'll take good service and follow through over convenience.

Happy trails.Click image for larger version

Make sure that price is guarenteed not to go up at the time of pickup. Lots of surprises lately.

Noted

The NIRVC buyers order is preset at 3% higher than current MSRP. If between now and delivery it goes up over 3% I will pay that much more, if it goes up less than 3%, I will pay that much less. I am guaranteed 28% off, as negotiated. See attached.

I believe this is as transparent as they can be.Click image for larger version

Make sure you have a place to handle the warranty near by. There will be lots of repairs. If you buy from a dealer far away your local dealer might not handle the warranty. I have a 2020 37l and it has been in out of dealer for warranty. It's going in tom cause 2 slides aren't working. Be prepared to fix many issues on your own.

Right, I already know the local dealers WILL NOT service me because I didn't buy from them. I'm talking General RV in Richmond.
Like I said, 4th motorhome, 5th RV. I've spoke extensively about a thorough PDI that NIRVC is to do before calling me to setup delivery, an inspection I'm arranging pre-delivery, my PDI, an immediate appointment to fix what I find, Entegra/Jayco's willingness to allow certified mobile RV tech's to do warranty work, as well as their willingness to mail me replacement parts to install myself. My salesman, Chris (Atlanta), says he was a former service manager and did seem to be sincere enough for me to get this far.

I do realize the coach will have problems. I've read all the problems you guys have dealt with and will likely find some of my own. My last motorhome, bought new, never made it back to a dealer because I fixed everything myself and managed to do so for 7 years until I sold it last month. I'm under no illusions that I'll be so lucky this time but also feel I'm handier with a wrench than most RV'ers, mostly out of necessity and stubbornness.

It's not like I had a lot of choices. The number of bunkhouse Super C's, with significant tow capacity, decent CCC, washer/dryer, that I felt was had full-time validity, coming in under $250k was exactly 1. This one.

Good God! Dont buy for General Rv unless you like getting crapped on, beat up,...
I cant say much, but a "local" GRV got caught recently, AGAIN, in warranty fraud over billing, and a few more issues. I dont even look at that place when I drive by.

Good thing you've sharpened your mechanic skills. Some things are better fixed yourself than taken to the dealer. My selling dealer has been great to us and everyone I know that has bought a unit from them. I had to pay them a visit recently and was told at this time they are only servicing units that were sold by them. Pre COVID they serviced pretty much any and all, but now with parts shortages, etc., they've been forced to do this. They will service a unit if it's an emergency for someone passing thru type deal. I cant say I blame them either.
Sounds like you're still getting a GREAT deal at 28% off considering today's market and such.
Hey, it's only money, you cant take it with you, you'll never have enough of it no matter how much of it you make, and you only live once! I say run with it and ENJOY!!! Lol!

I remember when I was a teenager hearing the old adage time is money. I truly wish I understood all of the implications when I was 18.

I'm finishing up my 60th trip around the sun. My time /money scale is light on the time side and thankfully a little heavier on the money side. I just bought a new pickup. Ford won this negotiation and perhaps won back everything I gained on the previous trucks. Perhaps the RV industry took back some of their losses with this sale but an extra year of ownership is worth more the closer that retirement date appears.

Enjoy!

The right price is the price someone is willing to pay. I say go for it and enjoy the heck out of it. If you don't, I guarantee someone else will. The ol' outside looking in thing. I also guarantee availability will diminish even more than it is now in the upcoming years.

Good luck and happy retirement!

I'm onboard, we have done the same. Put a deposit down on a 37M but all the same specs as you called out and the price is within a %. Ordered from Motorhome Specialists in Alvarado Tx which is 45 miles from me. Nov/Dec delivery expected. We were waiting during 2020 as covid had so much uncertainty. Prices are up across the board with everything and I'm not anticipating them going down anytime soon. We have been on the fence to pull the trigger for 2 years and decided to just go for it. Do like to see that solar is standard now that can be expanded on, will have to see what solar controller will be used. On the fence on the induction cooktop, have read good things but we cook alot with gas now at home and in our current rig so will see how that goes. Went with the Oceanside color also as it is not primarily black which is not what I need in Texas. Ready for the next chapter!

Thanks for the comments. MHSRV was in the running and had i lived closer they would have won my business.

I'm 59 and for decades said I wasn't going to work past 65, now I think 60 works for me. The Accolade will get here before the year ends (hopefully) and I'll have my road tests and personalization done by next fall. Then we can hit the road full-time.

I know I need to look for front cap separation and mud flaps. Any other predominant Accolade/Seneca pitfalls out there?

Congratulations on your purchase, They are fun rigs with lots of storage space.

As for issues, biggest ongoing issue I have is with fasteners, they build these things fast and they don't care if they over drive screws. The number of screws that I have had to replace is in the high hundreds, from exterior bay hinge screws, drawer and screws, mud flaps, washer/dryer and even cabinets screws. buy a boat load of screws and self drilling metal screws. I just pulled my slide toppers today to clean and the bottom screws on each cover were snapped off, drilling and tapping those will make for a fun project 10 ft up in the air

Safe travels

This is good to know. I have a ton of hardware already in my shop and will inventory and fill in the gaps. I do not want things falling down, falling off, or failing.

It really seems like an easy factory fix...

For what it’s worth, I bought my Odyssey from GRV up in Richmond, but as I live in ATL area I’ve had NIRVC perform the few warranty issues I had. They were absolutely great to deal with.

I bought our Accolade from GRV in Richmond. Walked away twice because they didn’t have all the issues worked out before the PDI. The delivery team has a lot to be desired but the service folks are outstanding.

The last time I talked to my service advisor they do service units they didn’t sell but they go to the bottom of the list. They don’t have a body shop so paint work is contracted out.

Well, I suppose bottom of the list is better than not making the list, and it gives me another backup option
1. NIRVC
2. Mobile Tech
3. DIY
4. Factory
5. Other dealers

On my last motorhome that I bought new and kept 7 years I only used #3. When I sold it last month everything was working great including all upgrades

I wouldn't buy from that dealer in Alvarado, Texas, if they were the last dealer standing. In my opinion PDI was terrible. Long boring story, but after flying in to pick up my new rig they expected me to walk away from a deposit on a new class C that had plenty of damage and unacceptable. I ended up dealing with a lot nicer people at Camper's RV in Shreveport, LA, 200 miles down the road.
