Well final comments on the service. It would have been better if I had left the rig there overnight. The work was done at a snails pace. Including the two drives, this project was sixteen hours.

They were out of oil filters on the first day, they were out of fuel filters the second. They had one brought in from nearby. There were three other rigs getting oil changes they had just enough oil for my rig. It's seems that they are doing a bunch of "get ready for Spring" oil changes and lubes that they actually ran out.

Phone communication was poor, I understand that they are dealing with a shortage not only parts but Covid and a labor shortage though I think they could have done better. The snafus with the parts in unforgivable. It should be "oh you have a Seneca with the Cummings B6.7?, our inventory says we are out of the oil filter and we'll tag the other parts for you." Not to come in, wait two hours and then be told we don't have the filter. The two empty fifty five gallon drums of 15w40 is pure silliness.

This is a large chain of truck repair shops that are also Oasis stations.
I did get a reduced rate.

I can easily get the Fumoto valve, a five gallon catch basin or some containers to recycle the oil, tools for the filters and just get it done. This was frustrating for me.
I used to enjoy doing this stuff when I could get inside the engine compartment.

And you had warned me.

If only my arms were two inches longer it would be very easy. Lol

Oil filter on a Seneca

I change my oil filter from the top on an M2 chassis. It might take a little longer but it works for me. Take the 3 bolts out of the air cleaner and move it aside. Loosen the clamp on the Turbo. I then work a strap wrench over the filter and loosen it. I then take a plastic shopping bag and slide it over the filter and unscrew the filter and let it drop in the bag. Pull the bag out with the filter in it. No fuss no mess. It takes a little fiddling but it is doable. Put it all back together and add oil.
