Oil filter for onan qd8000

I ordered a onan 122-0833 oil filter and it is a lot bigger than what I took off. This is what I thought needed. I will spin on and the rubber touches but doesn't seem correct.
I have model 8hdkak-1046p
It is a Kubota engine
I measured the rubber seals on both and they are of different diameters
Any help would be appreciated

All research and post show the filter to be correct even though larger in size. Is the inside diameter of the rubber seal the same? Looks like it replaced two other numbers.

The inside of the rubbers are not the same diameter however I screwed it on and can feel it is seating. I reached up and felt with my finger and the rubber is outward of the metal surface a little bit. Like a 1/16th of an inch. It is a wider rubber than the one that was on from factory. If it works and it leaks later would the Gen set shut down from low oil?

Call the generator dealer to verify information. What does the information show on the inside of the door panel of the generator?

What door? Looks like everything is bolted. You mean the door covering the filter area?

I would look on the inside of the filter panel for a decal that may have info

That is the correct filter. I use a Napa Gold 1064.

I believe its the one also. It's just so different than the one from factory. The motor is a Kubota. The smaller filter I took off was painted Kubota Grey with no markings.
